Often people diagnosed with serious mental illnesses like schizophrenia or mood disorders, are identified in their teens and twenties.

This causes them to miss the experiences of completed education and job training. Henderson’s Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services help to fill-in these gaps. Staff support and encouragement promotes community re-integration.

Who Benefits?

People learning to live with a mental illness and could benefit from learning or relearning socialization, communication, daily living, educational and vocational skills.

What do we offer?

Skills training, supported employment, and social skills development.

How does it work?

Vocational and skills development is learned through daily hands-on training, problem solving and communication exercises in a relaxed group or individual setting. On-site job placement and job coaching is also provided. (A classroom setting is utilized to help individuals achieve their high school GED.)
